Bogged Down

May 12th, 2006 at 01:20 am

To all:

This is my first blog so I have no idea how to work it exactly.

Here it is in a nutshell. I have been married for five years, wonderful wife and two terrific children.

I am a carpenter who runs his own small construction company. Two years ago I built our home and rolled all of our debt on to that loan. Scool, credit, cars etc.

Now we have a huge mortgage on a simple home and we get to pay PMI! My wife and I have a hearts desire to adopt many children but being riddled with debt have no way out.

I've read the books and done the studies and still we are not surviving. Help.

Welcome to the site. You should find a lot of support here. The first step is to put together your budget and post it in the forums - the members there will look at it and give you good hints and suggestions on where you may be able to reduce your current costs.

Remember that it will take some time, but if you take a step a day, you'll be heading in the right direction. This blog will help you record your progress so that you can look back and see that you are moving forward (even when it might not seem you are)

Good luck and I look forward to reading about your progress.

no reason not to start opening your home to kids now.........most states have a foster to adopt program, costs you almost zero out of pocket money.........if you're a frugal shopper, it would be no cost. States will fund the kiddos lucky enough to come to your home.

Welcome! I'm new here, too. I'm also struggling with a lot of debt and too many places to put my income. This group will help; I've already had a total change in attitude in just a few days!
